With back-to- back projects  ready to hit the screens, Golden Star Ganesh has hit a golden patch and hopes for a sweet return this season. We catch the actor in an upbeat mood as he chats about his movies and more.

What is 'Sakkare' all about?
It’s a sweet romantic film. For the first time, we have attempted to tell a love story in several ways.  For instance, it portrays a love scene from both the hero and heroine’s perspective. This is a rare experiment in Sandalwood. It has almost all the elements, from humour to emotion, to keep the audiences hooked. The main purpose of such an experiment is to ensure that fans come back to watch the movie again.

There were talks that 'Shravani Subramya' would release first?
No, the shooting is not yet completed for Shravani Subramanya. Presently, the re-recording of the film is in the final stage with a song to be shot. The producers have sorted out the release of the film. 'Sakkare' is releasing as scheduled this Friday and 'Shravani Subramanya' will release later.

Any movies from your home banner in the near future?
Yes, we are planinng something new  soon.

What about directing a movie?
Yes, I am planning to direct a movie soon. But I will get every aspect in place before I do that.

The songs in all your movies are a hit. Is this because you are finicky about the music?
Luckily all my producers, directors and especially music directors give a lot of importance to songs.  I should thank the song writers, the wonderful composers such as Manomurthy, Harikrishna, for the memorable songs, in my films.

Are you hoping to work on the sequel to the mega hit 'Mungaru Male'?
Honestly speaking, I do not want a sequel to 'Mungaru Male'. Had it been any another movie that had completed 100 days, a sequel would make sense. But 'Mungaru Male' ran for several months and became a milestone in the industry, so it makes no sense. However, in show business, we cannot completely overule anything.

Will we see another Yograj Bhar and Ganesh combination soon?
Talks are on and hopefully Yograj Bhat will direct me in the future. The the expectations are always high from us as we have given classical hits like 'Mungaru Male' and 'Galipata'.

What are your present projects?
Apart from 'Shravani Subramanya', I am working in 'Dil Rangeela'. After that I am working in PC Sekar’s next project, where I play a double  role for the first time. We are also planning a big project for my 25th film after this.
