Hyderabad: Seemandhra Union ministers who met the A.K. Antony committee on Thursday evening demanded the appointment of a second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) to look into the creation of a Telangana state.

They also demanded that the process of creating the new state should be stopped. The ministers met the committee at the AICC war room and submitted a memorandum seeking appointment of a second SRC as the Congress Working Committee had passed a resolution to this effect earlier.

When they were told that the CWC decision to bifurcate the state is irrevocable, the ministers suggested that Hyderabad should be made a Union territory.

Briefing the media after the meeting, AICC general secretary, Digvijay Singh, said that Seemandhra leaders have appraised them about the latest situation in Seemandhra and the ongoing agitation.

The ministers asked the Antony committee to visit Hyderabad to meet local leaders. Singh said he has no objection to visiting the state and receiving representations. Seemandhra state ministers and MLAs decided not to meet the Antony committee in Delhi and insist that it should visit the state.

So that everyone has the opportunity to put forth their viewpoint. Seemandhra ministers want the high command to stop the process of creating Telangana State till the Antony committee gives its report, otherwise, the committee serves no purpose. They also feel that if bifurcation is inevitable, they must bargain on the status of Hyderabad city at least.

All Andhra MP,MLA'S and people shall realize that the T-State demand is stand since for the 50 years and its justifiable. They deserve the Hyderabad as their capital. All Andhra people are not interested upon the poor Telangaana people but they are interested only on Hyderabad as their lands and assets are involved with Hyderabad as well as their business. All these 46 years the Seemandhra people and politicians deceived the Telangaana people who are good and innocent (not commercial) people and enjoyed all the resources of Telangaana as well as the people here including the capital Hyderabad and that's the reason they still want to continue this and want to enjoy permanently. Therefore I request the Govt. to speed up the T-Separate State process along with Hyderabad as it's Capital, Jai Maha Bharat

What is meant by seemandhra people deceived the Telegana people. Starting business in capital is deceiving people. What Telengana ministers were doing. How making a separate state will prevent Seemandhra people coming and staying in Hyderabad. If 5 crore seemandhra people wanted to come-over to Telengana they would have come already. Then why only may be 30 / 40 lakh people are there from Seemandhra that too in Hyderabad only. If Seemandhra people cannot come to their own capital. then How Telengana people can goto Bangalore, Delhi.
