Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday alleged that the report submitted by Saritha S. Nair in the additional CJM court in Ernakulam has been sabotaged.
At a press conference here, Vijayan said if whatever Saritha had stated now was part of her earlier statement, where was the need for secrecy. The chief minister should face a judicial probe and the sabotage angle should also be brought within the purview of the investigations, he said and added, “When the CM announced that good news would be out on Monday, he might have referred to the change in Saritha’s statement.”
“Saritha had requested the court to allow her to file a secret report about things that she could not say in public. She had given the statement spending 20 minutes before the additional CJM court.
In the normal course, such statements have to be recorded by the court but it didn’t even record a single sentence which had led to suspicion,’’ he added.
Saritha was asked to give the statement in writing. But what happened later was highly deplorable with the police taking Saritha to several places, he said. “All this was done with a motive to sabotage the report,’’ Vijayan added.
