From FB to films

Anisha Ambrose’s debut film Alias Janaki is due for release and the Vizag girl gives all credit to Facebook.

“Nothing was planned. I was a normal girl, hanging out with my buddies, posed for photographer friends who posted my pictures on FB. One day Neelima, the producer of Panjaa, got in touch with me after going through my pictures on FB.”

“I come from an orthodox family. My parents are very strict. But  my dad got in touch with Neelima after which he was convinced,” she adds.

Anisha says, “I was born and brought up in Odisha but I am a  Telugu girl, with my father being from Vizag. After my 12th I moved back to Vizag to study further.”

Recalling her experience on the sets of Alias Janaki, she says, “As Chiranjeevi’s cousin Rahul Venkat was cast opposite me, I thought that it would be difficult to work with a person from a filmi background. But Rahul proved me wrong.”

“Alias Janaki is about a guy who comes to the city from a village and his trials. I play Chetna, a happy-go-lucky girl who has no rules in life,” she says.

Anisha has already secured another Tollywood project, Arey Re, with actor Abhijeet Duddala from Life is Beautiful. “I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Let’s see how this goes.”
