Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, reacting to the criticism on Amma Hastham scheme, said the government will rectify all the lapses within a month. Speaking to the media on Saturday at his camp office, the CM said that for any new scheme, there will be problems in the beginning. In Amma Hastham scheme also, there may be problems at the ground level, in implementation.
The CM said that if any Opposition party makes constructive criticism, he is ready to rectify, but if they criticise for political mileage it is not good, negative campaign on a welfare scheme is bad for any political party, the Chief Minister said. In the Amma Hastam scheme 2.25 crore people will be benefiting. Apart from Rs 1 Kg rice, nine essential commodities are being supplied to 2.25 crore beneficiaries, he said. In a month the scheme will be implemented without any lapses, he clarified.
The Chief Minister told that the Government gave an order of Rs 400 crore worth to the APCCO to benefit the handloom weavers.
CM to visit delhi for plan panel meet
Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will be leaving for New Delhi on May 29 where he is likely to meet the high command to discuss the Cabinet reshuffle in the wake of the resignations of the two tainted ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy over charges of complicity in Jagan Mohan Reddy's illegal investments. The CM wants to finalise the MLC seats under the Governor's quota, sources said.
The cabinet reshuffle will take place before June 2 if the high command agrees to it. The Monsoon session of the Assembly is likely to begin from June 10 by which date the reshuffle is expected to be completed. The CM will also participate in discussions with the National Planning Commission on June 30.
Before his Delhi visit, Kiran Kumar Reddy will pay a visit to his constituency, Pileru, where he is slated to participate in various programmes and will return to the city on May 28.
