After Kamal Haasan’s Pushpak, actor Venkatesh will do a silent movie, starting in August. “I am doing it since I liked the concept. We are going to produce it too,” he admits.
Venkatesh also praised director Ashok (of Pilla Zamindar fame) for his idea. “Amidst listening to regular scripts, Ashok surprised me with the silent-movie idea,” he says, adding, “Kamal Haasan has set a precedent and I am a great admirer of his works, so I would like to emulate him with a hatke movie.”
He feels that even T-Town stars should come out of their comfort zones. “Big stars should step out of their comfort zone once in a while, to provide some novelty to the viewers.”
The actor is busy reprising Ajay Devgn’s role in the remake of Bol Bachchan. “I liked Ajay’s performance, and I am giving it my best shot too,” he explains. He also rules out any shooting breaks due to his co-star Anjali’s disappearance. “It didn’t impact our production, but we were worried about her well-being and safety; now she is doing a good job,” he says.”
