The summer has begun and the soaring mercury has taken its toll on South actress Saranya Mohan, while she was shooting for the Bollywood remake of her Tamil film.
According to well-placed sources, the shooting of ‘Badlapur Boys’ was happening at Doodhu village in Rajasthan, where the temperature is over 40 degrees. A scene was canned by director Shailesh Verma, while the lead pair Nishan and Saranya was performing it. It seems that all of a sudden, Saranya collapsed on the sets due to excessive heat. Later, it was found that the actress was suffering from dehydration and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was given fluids.
In ‘Badlapur Boys’, Saranya plays a girl called Sapna who comes to her sister’s place to take part in the village festival. The script has been tweaked to suit the sensibilities and given local flavour for B’town audiences.
Saranya was given a drip, said a unit source. The shoot was called off for the day and Saranya got some much needed rest.
