The word that won’t end

Agencies | 15th Dec 2012

Say it! We bet you can’t, but even if you did, it isn’t the whole word! It’s a tiny sliver of what’s said to be the longest word in the English language. It is 189,819 letters long.

How long does it take to read out the word? One man mumbled on for 3 hours 33 minutes 23 seconds, and by the time he had finished, had grown a stubble!

By the way, the word is “Methionylthreonylthreonylglutaminylarginyl… isoleucine’, the chemical name of the longest protein, otherwise simply called ‘Titin’.
